Commodity Girls Go Fundraising

Caroline Shaw, Cornelia Luptowitsch, Kirsty Scales, Lucy Fatkin, Sara Tullis and Tracey Brown are all taking up the challenge to raise funds for this worthy cause.

Race for Life events start early May and run throughout the summer. The Commodity Girls have chosen the picturesque venue of Chichester, on Sunday 13th July, to undertake their challenge. They will be joined by up to 3,500 other competitors.

Most people have been touched by cancer in one way or another: “A friend was diagnosed with cancer last year and a few weeks ago it spread to his brain. He is currently undergoing radiotherapy but if this doesn’t work there is nothing more than can be done for him” says Caroline, one of the firm’s Resourcers, who will be taking part on the day.

Women and girls of all ages can choose to walk, jog or run the 5k course whilst raising money to help beat cancer. The events are an inspirational day out with family and friends. Sara from Commodity’s Gas and Power practice is “looking for a fun day out with the additional benefit of doing good - for others by raising money”.

Kirsty Scales, the Team Leader for the event, has already received numerous messages of supports, and says “Thank you for all the lovely messages you have been sending. It’s amazing how much people care about this charity. We hope we won’t let our supporters down..”
