MBE Operation Analyst required for leading Energy Company, to be based in London

Major Business Operations Analyst required to support Energy Branch’s commercial relationships and operate the portfolio of contracts used to mitigate energy market exposures

Key accountabilities include developing models to optimise contracts in line with the requirements of the Major Business energy exposure team; understanding the exposure hedging strategy, calculating the required trades and ensuring trades nominated to Integrated Margin are fulfilled in line with the strategy; and managing the analysis of customer loadshapes to determine the most appropriate energy market trades for bespoke and flexibility products.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate commensurate experience and will possess an excellent understanding of the energy markets and the regulatory and competitive market environment operated in, a high level of numeracy and strong analytical skills, a wide and developed knowledge of the UK Energy sector, particularly in terms of markets mechanisms and competition.
