Major UK Power and Gas Utility require a senior risk professional manage the risk evaluation process within the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

• Implement the energy market risk management framework within the company Market Risk Policy and ensure the compliance.
• Ensure that company decisions with regards portfolio development and management are fully compliant with Risk Policy.
• Manage the Risk Compliance team, ensuring delivery of team responsibilities and service.

Candidates will have

• excellent understanding of energy portfolio risk management, the end-to-end energy trading operational processes, and the asset management processes.
• the ability to effectively develop methodologies and systems to deal with the risks faced in this changing environment.
• a very high level of numeracy, and strong analytical skills.
• in-depth knowledge of the Electricity / Gas / Coal markets.
• the ability to lead, motivate and develop skilled staff to work in close co-operation with other parts of the business and deliver excellent business results.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent communicator at all levels.
